WEDDINGS

We are opening up our property to other photographers
and their clients.

I know the stress of trying to scout areas that have flowers in bloom, that haven't been trampled, and don't have a line of 4 photographers all trying to take photos there at the same time.

So two years ago we planted an acre of our property with wild flower seed, and now the area has matured enough to support some beautiful blooms! We are located just 12 minutes west of the Jordan Creek Parkway Exit in Adel, IA.

Take a look at the FAQ below to learn more.

To help ensure the safety and protection of all guests, a valid business liability insurance policy is required for professional photographers renting this area. Thank you for your understanding!

RENT THE FLOWERS

Looking for your own private wild flower to take your clients for beautiful photos?

Well then exciting news, we are opening up our property to other photographers and their clients.

Also, please note this is only an option for professional photographers. A business liability policy is required to rent
this area.

H0urly Rate: $60/Hour
Bloom Time is Roughly June - early August.

Yes, one of the main advantages of renting our flower field area is that you will have exclusive access to the property, ensuring you won't be competing with other photographers during your rental period.

Q: Will I be the only photographer present during my session?

Yes, the field is available for photo sessions from sunrise to sunset during the summer months. As a photographer myself, I prefer early morning sessions and late afternoon sessions when the sun isn’t as high in the sky.

Q: Are there specific hours during which the field is available for photo sessions?

Yes. We strive to keep this process as seamless and simple as possible, but in order to best protect ourselves, the photographer, and their clients, you will not be able to book this area without carrying  business liability insurance umbrella policy.

Q: Do I need to have business insurance to be able to book?

With this being a very new concept, you can email brooke.pavel@gmail.com to book your session. In the future we may plan to have a more automated booking process.

Q: How do I book a time slot for a photo session?

Sessions are booked in one-hour increments. You are able to book back to back time slots if needed.

Q: How long are the time slots?

That's perfectly fine! You are not required to stay for the full 60 minutes, but you will still need to book the hour time slot.

What if I only need 20 minutes?

Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash at all times to help keep them safe. Please clean up after your pet to maintain the cleanliness of the trail.

Are pets allowed in the flower field?

Yes, Kind of! :) We have a long paved driveway and you would be able to park with 2 wheels on pavement and 2 wheels on grass before walking to the mowed paths through the pasture.

Q: Is there parking available at the flower field?

No, you are able to do your sessions solo. The area does have video surveillance, and just as a reminder all photographers and clients have to sign a liability waiver.

Q: Is the property owner present during the photo session?

We recommend small groups of 6 people or less per session to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all.

Q: Is there a limit to the number of people allowed per photo session?

Please respect the flowers and avoid damaging them. Stay on designated paths, and do not pick flowers as sessions that follow need those flowers still intact.

Q: What are the rules for using the flower field during a photo session?

If you need to go over your purchased time, extensions are possible if there are no subsequent bookings. Please discuss this with us in advance or on the day of your session.

Q: Can I extend my photo session if I need more time?

We recommend booking  1-2 weeks in advance to ensure availability. With this being our first season of wild flowers in bloom, we are not certain on how long the blooms will last into late summer. We will monitor weekly, and be in communication with any booked sessions in late July and early August incase the blooms die off.

Q: How far in advance should I book my photo session?

We offer rescheduled appointments in the event of active rain during your booking time. However, reschedules are not permitted if the fields are simply damp from earlier rainfall.

Q: What happens if it rains during my scheduled session?

We do not provide refunds. However, in certain circumstances, we can transfer your rental fee to the following week. Rescheduling must be done promptly to ensure the flowers are still in bloom.

Q: Do you offer refunds

Yes, we highly suggest you stay on the trail area to avoid coming into contact with any unpleasant, itchy, or pokey plantlife.

Q: Are there any areas of the field that are off-limits?

Generally, early to mid summer offers the most vibrant displays, but specific bloom times can vary. This is our first year with blooms, so we will have a better idea of the time frame after completing our first season.

Q: What are the best times of the year to schedule a photo session in the flower field?

Small, portable lighting is allowed, but please avoid bringing large equipment that could damage the flowers or obstruct paths.

Q: Can I set up additional lighting or large equipment in the field?

There is no electricity available in the field, so please plan accordingly.

Q: Is there electricity available in the field for equipment?

No, please have clients plan accordingly.

Q: Are there restroom facilities available on-site?

At this time we do not. Be prepared to walk about 30 yards to the wild flowers. The trail with wild flowers on either side is about 60 yards with slight dips and valleys. This location might not be suitable if you have extended family photos with older family members who are not able to walk well.

Q: Do you offer transportation to the wild flower areas?
