Time flies when you're doing what you love, and for me, it's been a remarkable 12-year journey where my job has never really felt like work! I remember the first conversations of career options, and I didn't know exactly what I wanted to do, but I knew I wanted to have fun doing whatever I was going to spend my days doing! As I was wrapping up my graphic design degree at Iowa State, I found myself searching and soak in everything I could find about photography, and then using my friends as test subjects!
And now grateful doesn't quite capture the essence of how I feel about my clients who have allowed me to turn my passion into my career.

- I married my sorority formal blind date.
- We have three beautiful little kiddos. Time is already going by too fast!
- We have lived in three houses, and have enjoyed renovating spaces in every house we have lived in. I share some home DIY renos @brookepavel.
- Country living is a must for us! Preferably country living that includes high speed internet, and a Target within 15 minutes!;)
- We just got an English Cream Retriever puppy named Cowboy! PS did I mention you should totally include your dog in your photos!:)

1. Adventure
I love life with a little adventure! Whether it's glamping in the desert, riding horses through Zion National Park, skiing in Colorado, or even riding Segways through the stone paved alleys of St. Augustine! Still on the bucket list... white water rafting!
2. The Hubby
My husband was my blind date to a sorority formal dance! He is amazingly supportive, and is a big reason I've been able to achieve this career! While he doesn't join me while taking photos, we do enjoy teaming up and tackling DIY home projects together.
3. Being a Mom
I know couples think their wedding day is the best day ever, but I'm telling you that it might be hard to believe, but it keeps getting better! I love being a mom to our 3 kiddos! And one of the reasons I am so thankful for this job, is because it will be proof to them that if they do some hard work, they can start their own business, and have a job that they love!
4. Old Photos
Do you have photo album on your coffee table? If so, I'm the first one to pick it up and look through it! I love looking back at photos! And here is a little gem of one I took at age 7 where I would dress my little sister up and snap photos of her! I crack up every time I look at these!:)
